Before You Bid
These rules apply to every Hespera long auction. By placing a bid, you agree to the rules below and any lot-specific terms shown on the auction page.
| Bids are binding. | Please bid only if you are prepared to complete the purchase. |
| Reserves are confidential. | They allow select pieces to open at an inviting price while ensuring they sell only when the reserve is reached. |
| There is no buyer's premium. | Your total is the winning bid, applicable tax, and any disclosed charges. |
| Late bids may extend the close. | A bid in the final five minutes extends that lot by five minutes. |
| Payment is due within 48 hours. | Winners receive a Shopify invoice after the auction closes. |
| Shipping is complimentary and insured. | A signature is required at delivery for auction purchases. |
| International bidders are welcome. | Duties, tariffs, customs fees, and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility. |
| Auction purchases are final sale. | Limited exceptions apply for damage, the wrong item, material misdescription, or a valid authenticity concern. |
| Problems must be reported quickly. | Notify Hespera in writing within three calendar days of confirmed delivery. |
| Review every detail before bidding. | Measurements, fit, photos, video, condition, and lot-specific notes are part of the description. |
Shipping and Fulfillment
Fulfillment
Most in-stock orders are fulfilled within 8 to 10 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Fulfillment is the time our team needs to prepare, inspect, package, and hand your order to the shipping carrier.
Pre-orders and bespoke pieces require 4 to 8 weeks from order placement to shipment. Beaded pieces offered on our website, including A Second Sunrise pieces, are generally considered bespoke and made to order unless the product listing states that the piece is Native-made or ready to ship.
We always work to send orders as quickly as possible. At the same time, we prioritize careful inspection, quality, and presenting each piece with the respect it deserves. These fulfillment timelines allow our team to deliver jewelry we believe you will love.
If an order includes both ready-to-ship and pre-order or bespoke items, we may ship the order in multiple packages so available pieces can reach you sooner.
Shipping
We offer free standard U.S. shipping on every order. Customers may choose and pay for an upgraded shipping service when that option is available at checkout.
We automatically combine eligible orders placed within a short period whenever possible. If upgraded shipping was selected for one of those orders, we will use that service for the combined ready-to-ship package when possible.
Shipping Speed vs. Fulfillment Time
The shipping service selected at checkout begins only after fulfillment is complete and the carrier accepts the package. Paying for priority or expedited shipping does not shorten production, preparation, inspection, or fulfillment time.
Example: Priority shipping on a pre-order does not shorten the 4 to 8 week production and fulfillment period.
Returns, Refunds, and Store Credit
Requesting a Return or Reporting an Issue
Hespera sells limited-inventory, handmade, vintage, and one-of-a-kind jewelry. Returns are not automatic and are accepted only when an order meets the eligibility requirements below and Hespera approves the request.
For an issue other than arrival damage or an incorrect item, email support@hespera.com within 10 calendar days of the carrier-recorded delivery date. Include:

The name of each item involved

The email address used for the order, if different

A clear explanation of the issue
We will always review requests with care. Contacting us within the required window allows a review but does not guarantee return eligibility.
Arrival Damage or an Incorrect Item
Our experienced fulfillment team packs every order with care, precision, and respect for the value of the jewelry. We pack our items to arrive safely to you; however, we are unfortunately not in control of how mail carriers handle the packages. If an item arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, email support@hespera.com within 3 calendar days of the carrier-recorded delivery date. Requests submitted after this three-day window will not be considered for a return or refund based on arrival damage or an incorrect item.

Photographs of the outer package and internal packaging when damage may have occurred in transit
Each request is assessed case by case. A report made within three days is not an automatic guarantee of return, refund, replacement, or store credit.
Return Eligibility
An item may be eligible for an approved return only when all applicable requirements are met:

The request is submitted within the correct reporting window.

The item is unworn, unused, unaltered, and in the condition in which it was received.

The item is returned with all original packaging, documentation, and included components.

The item is not excluded by the Non-Returnable Items section or a separate live-sale or platform policy.

Hespera approves the return before the customer sends it back.
Refund Method and Store Credit
Approved returns are resolved according to the terms under which the item was purchased:

Eligible full-price Hespera.com purchases may be refunded to the original payment method or issued as store credit, based on the approved resolution.

Eligible Hespera.com purchases discounted by less than 40% may be refunded to the original payment method unless the promotion or listing stated a different return term.

Items purchased at a discount of 40% or more are not eligible for a refund to the original payment method. If Hespera approves a return, the resolution will be store credit only.

Live-sale purchases are governed by the Live Shopping Purchases section below and are generally non-returnable and non-refundable.
Any refund or store credit is based on the actual amount paid for the item, not its original price, stated value, or later retail price. Shipping charges and optional services are not refunded unless Hespera specifically approves them as part of the resolution.
Store credit does not expire. Approved store credit is generally issued within 7 business days after the returned item is received and reviews by our fulfillment team.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:

Gift cards

Pre-orders

Bespoke pieces that include custom details, requests, or notes approved by Eric or Hespera's Collector Concierge

Items customized or modified before shipment, including approved changes to chain length, clasp type, earring backs, or other components

Items worn, repaired, resized, engraved, altered, or otherwise modified after delivery by the purchaser or any third party

Items expressly identified as non-returnable in the product listing, promotion, invoice, or purchase terms

Rings or cuffs returned solely because of fit, sizing preference when sizing is made available prior to purchase. Please see our Sizing Guide.

Items returned solely because they are unsigned, unstamped, or do not display a maker's mark that was represented in the listing or live presentation. Plasse do not hesitate to ask Eric during a LIVE when he is showing a piece or contact support@hespera.com for confirmation if a stamp is present on an online listing.
